Gem Trees,
I was given a Tiger-eye bracelet which was beautiful but too large for me to wear which belonged to my sister Linda who passed 20 June 2021, so rather then me throwing it into a draw. I decided to watch YouTube tutorials [How to make a Gem tree} which both me & Linda always loved and collected. Almost one year later and I’ve made quite a few for Friends & family for Christmas presents plus a number of commissions. Every tree is made with Love, Joy plus the strength & magic each crystal holds. Every tree I’ve given has been admired and placed in an prominent position within their new home.
Pearl Tree
Orange Calcite on Pumistone
I've been making Gem trees for a while and thought I'd make a tree for International Women's Day. This tree was made with love, the base is Faden quartz, the beads are natural pearls, believed to be feminine in nature, with wisdom gained through experience. I chose pearls as they are made from grit and over the years they become pure and beautiful. Some perfect, others slightly misshapen, but still a wonder of nature. I tried to make the branches and the truck realistic and neat, although this tree was not having any of that! Then I realized us woman are not perfect, just brilliant. Hope you find the beauty in all the women you meet today.
